The Story

Bakersfield to San Diego County.

Cal Coast Construction was founded in 2007 in Bakersfield, California by Josiah Lopez. The business grew through the kind of work that pays the next job — clean scopes, honest estimates, and finished projects that held up. Over time, the operation moved into San Diego County, where the demand for licensed general contracting at every scale — from single-family bath remodels to multifamily HOA exterior work — outstripped what most local shops were equipped to handle. Today Cal Coast Construction runs across all of San Diego County under the same operating standards that built the company: written scope, pulled permits, one point of contact from estimate to close, and finish quality that survives a decade.
