Project Scope
Complete build-out of a 3,500 square foot winery tasting room including custom bar construction, commercial kitchen, outdoor patio with pergola, ADA-compliant restrooms, and landscaping. The design featured exposed beam ceilings, polished concrete floors, and floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing vineyard views.
The Challenge
The site had challenging topography requiring significant grading work. The owner wanted to open for the spring wine season, giving us an aggressive 4-month timeline. Material selections needed to reflect the premium brand positioning while staying within budget.
Our Solution
We brought in our grading subcontractor early to begin site work while finalizing interior plans. We pre-ordered long-lead items like the custom bar millwork and windows immediately. Our project manager was on-site daily to keep all trades coordinated and resolve issues in real-time.
The Result
The tasting room opened on schedule for the spring wine season. The owner reported that the space has become a destination in Paso Robles wine country, with visitors specifically citing the architecture as a reason for their visit. The project has been featured in Wine Country Living magazine.
